Employees working in the IT environment have to deal with more and more computer authorisations with different passwords which, under normal circumstances, also need to be altered regularly. The result is that passwords are often forgotten and have to be reset in a costly process by the help desk or call centre. With TESIS|ASPR users can quickly and securely reset their passwords themselves.
The costs for manual application, examination and execution by a service provider are estimated at least € 25 per reset. TESIS|ASPR accelerates the password reset process by intuitive user self service. Your employees can now carry on working productively as a new password is available in just a few seconds regardless of service times.
See for yourself how quickly your investment will pay off by requesting an individual cost-benefits analysis.
How can you be sure that the applicant on the telephone is who he says he is?
Hotline callers asking for a password reset are frequently authenticated by personnel numbers, confirmations from superiors or telephone numbers etc. The security of this procedure is limited. TESIS|ASPR closes this security gap in the user self-service and in the help desk.
The following approaches are available for this:
- Stored knowledge: Users identify themselves with the aid of a question/answer pair.
- User-ID/Password: Users authenticate themselves to another system.
- Certificate: A user has a valid certificate.
- VASCO Digipass® and RSA SecurID®: Strong authentication with token-generated one-time passwords (OTP).
- Four-eyes principle: A user asks two colleagues to confirm his identity.
- Privileged persons: Security-critical systems can be secured separately.
